T56 Clutch Fork Installed Properly?
Hey, does it look like the clutch fork/throwout bearing installed/positioned properly?

I'm concerned that there is a large gap on the left side between the bearing and the fork and that the rear lip of the bearing is in front of the fork and is what gets moved when the fork is pulled. I would have expected the bump on the fork to have done the pushing. Should the rear lip of the bearing be on the other side? I tried that but the fork then doesn't go all the way back. It kind of seems like the fork is too short. Is that possible?
Also, in the recessed part of the bearing (where the fork holds it, it isn't completely round (there is a flat of sorts). Is that supposed to point in any particular direction?

Yea, something isn't fitting properly there. You appear to have the TO bearing installed properly. Although can't 100% tell without a view from the other side. The fingers should be under the bearing lip as pictured below. Yes, the "bumps" on the clutch arm should be pressing the TO bearing into the clutch. They don't appear to be properly centered in the bearing and I've not see the rear lip coming through the opening like that. Certainly shouldn't be pushing from there. Agreed the clutch fork may not be the right one.

Thanks Edward. I'm becoming convinced of it. We got the drive train from Mike Forte so I'll follow up with him and see what he says. Hopefully it's just a simple oops that's easily resolved.

Mike confirmed that he sent us the small block fork while the T56 uses the big block fork, even for small block engines. Anyway, a nice simple resolution and kudos to Mike Forte for handling it so quickly.
