26" diameter wheel tire combo in the rear?

anyone running a 26" wheel and tire combo in the rear? any rubbing issues? I am looking to fill the rear wheel wheel a bit more. I know the speedo may be out a bit.
    I can get my toyos in the 255 35 18 and a 255 40 18 with 25" diameter and a 26" diameter.

Is this on an R or an S? Height will affect you I think. My tire diameter is 25.2" (255/40/17) and it had small rubbing issues on the fender liners in S height on the track (trimmed that up). I imagine a 26" tire in R height would cause serious clearance issues, though I don't know for sure.

this is for the 818S, I was using a wheel and tire calculator and the 255 35 18 and the 235 40 17 combo looked off for the side wall, skinnier on the rear but the 40 makes it fuller. I currently have 25" wheels from my subaru but they look small in the opening but a 26" looks like it will fill the wheel well nicer.

I've ordered my rear tires and they're 26.42" tall, but they're also 12.32" wide so I'm already prepared to make them fit.

285/40/17's are on the back of my long in the tooth 1995 Corvette and my in build process FFR-MK4. Both cars have 17 X 10's on the rear and these tires are 26.1 inches tall. Nitto 555's are on both cars.

This is what 265/35/18 looks like at 4.5" ride height. 25.3" diameter. No spacers, and they are inward as far as possible (just a couple mm of clearance to the upper trailing arm). Like this, they may rub on the fenders.... not quite sure yet but it will be REAL close.

Thanks, I have the rimss on order and should be here soon, I ordered the xxr 530s in the 17x8.25 and the 18x8.75. And will be getting the 235 40 17s for the front 24.4" and if I got with the 255 40 18 on the rear they are 26" and the 255 35 18s are 25". I just really want a tire that fills the wheel well completly.
