Had car out for short ride! Been to long. All went good with intake temp 70 and engine temp at 160, need to get tuned as new engine ( custom intake cam and lower compression, and lower intake temp). Running with out fenders and side panels to check on all engine parts, can not see or get to them. Need to put head lights on to be legalIMG_8765.JPG.

That sucks....sorry to see this after know how much work you put into this thing.

"Spun and went into the ditch" from slick roads, a little too much fun, or did something break?

I just go-carted mine this weekend and I thought of every one with big engines in these things. I only have a basic 302 in mine and barely getting on it both from starting out and shifting between gears I can cut the rear tires loose so I cannot imaging how squarely (yet very fun) these things are with a ton of HP.

Good luck, let us know how you make out.

Worked on car and is better than i thought. Bumper, brackets, radiator and fan gone. But custom bumper brackets and sway bar can be fixed.
The lower control arms are gone but the upper arms look good butt i will change all the control arms out. The custom fender brackets and lower water parts are a problem. Was going to change out intercoolers, i can get to them now!
PS rear control arms need to be changed out, will do both sides. Wheel put a small hole in my custom gas tank-- have not come up with a fix yet.IMG_8783.JPGIMG_8782.JPG

This is the difference inside of coolers.IMG_8793.JPGIMG_8794.JPG.
Any ideas on fixing gas tank? Very hard to get out. Use argon to get o2 out and weld?IMG_8797.JPG this does not sound good!

Had problem with steering rack- lots of play on right side. Read in pickup forum about right side bushing working out. That was the problem with my manual rack.
    My fix -IMG_8883.jpgIMG_8884.jpgIMG_8886.jpgIMG_8889.jpg
Wet cloth around rack and weld, all good.
    Metal is one inch pipe.
The bushing was good just put back in and new part to keep in, no lose of steering movement.

Changed the wilwood front brake kit (140-12048) front pads to Hawk DTC 30 (HB645W.490) )
I am very happy with with braking now.

I am usually a function over form guy, but I do have to say that I really like the look of the Wilwood front brakes.
