I have more parts and need to get to work, but it is soo smoky from the camp fire north of us that it is hard to go outside. I am sad for all the people in the fire it was so fast & hot. We have been in two floods and it takes a long time to get life back together!IMG_8256.JPGIMG_8257.JPGIMG_8260.JPGIMG_8262.JPG
The heat exchanger will go in trunk, air to water coolers will go under front fenders.

Nice. Having an ice chest in the trunk will keep those 33" Goodyear's hooked!! Which Garrets did you go with??

Takes a lot of work to make custom headers, but one is all most done.IMG_8263.JPGIMG_8264.JPGIMG_8267.JPGIMG_8268.JPGIMG_8269.JPG

My shoulder hurts just looking at those pics! The last set I did was quite awhile back. I chamfered the head side of the flange and swaged the tube into the chamfer to weld it and ground it flush. Never cracked or warped.

I like the framing you did to your running boards no you can stand on them. I was thinking of doing the same thing because if you dont and someone steps on them they will crack. Good Job.

Few can probably appreciate the effort you are putting in to this. Constructing your own headers is nothing short of badass. are you going to clock the output/cold side outlet and run it inside the engine compartment or are you going to run it straight to the intake/intercooler?

Need to ask tuner about BOV placement, but in piping after tubes come together and be for intake.
At this time going with standard BOV.

Just thinking outloud, would be cool to have Turbo reversed so Downpipe is exiting rearward as a side pipe. That would bring the cold side to the front, out of the path of the heat. What you are doing is really exciting.

I am trying to keep it clean as possible, with full fenders and running boards it is a challenge!! No room and no room. Water to air coolers in side front fenders with heat exchanger and AC condenser
in the trunk, plus two not yet made fuel tanks under the top tank for more gas (we will not talk mileage) and to have weight lower.
Putting another 1&5/8 DOM safety tube from front to back of roll cage along seats.

Tom, Great packaging work! You may be inspiring some future turbo builds. I've been eyeballing those barrel style water to air intercoolers myself for a different project. You're going to have a fun ride next summer!

So you are going to run a MAF? Do they have Speed Density Tuning for Fords?

This is the way my tuner has me set it up, MAF goes within 4 inches of air straightener. will put at 2 inches.
I am working with [email protected].

I ran speed density tune, eliminating math, a little more difficult to tune precisely. I did not know if Fords had that option.

The tuning is over my head. I trust SHAUN@ AED and went with parts he works with!
Think i will go with cortex EBC boost controller, like the boost by gear and overall protection.

Lost my camra card so no pics. Have turbo piping done, now under car exhaust and( Race Mufflers) waiting on them . Fixed radiator moved inlet to off center a long time back had some pinholes from using wire welder, now have tig so weld and grind till i got the garbage out. Did some mods to the finder brace to get rid of nuts on inside., Made oil drain on oil filter( filter on top) to take oil to under car, no more oil on everything to change filter! Still don't know how i will finish the grill.

Looking to put air scop or other intake behind doors in front of rear fenders. My heat exchanger and AC condenser are in trunk with fans but need air entrance and some forced air.
Have not found any that will work, so will maybe make them. Any ideas?

Had to rework finder brace(had shim in) to get it all good. So got it put together and finders even and ruff fitting of turbo pipes.
Don't think it will stay together, it has to come all apart!IMG_8376.JPGIMG_8382.JPGIMG_8377.JPG
