    Help Identifying This Part

    On this link it shows a 26651 RH and 26651A LH where the caliper mounting bolts go through:

    Why does it look like it has something attached to it?

    I can't remember having anything like the 26651 part on my donor, from memory (and it has been a while) the calliper mounted directly to the backing plate

    Mike, I don't remember anything like that and I've got the same 06 WRX donor. I then looked through my photos of the donor rear brakes and saw nothing like that.
    818S/C : Chassis #25 with 06 WRX 2.5 turbo, ABS, cruise, PS, A/C, Apple CarPlay, rear camera, power windows & locks, leather & other complexities. Sold 10/19 with 5,800 miles.
    Mk3 Roadster #6228 4.6L, T45, IRS, PS, PB, ABS, Cruise, Koni's, 17" Halibrands, red w/ silver - 9K miles then sold @ Barrett-Jackson Jan 2011 (got back cash spent).

    Thanks guys. It doesn't look like it's a part that can be ordered and I've never seen it in other pics.

    That is the rear dynamic damper found on STI Brembo brakes.

    I can confirm - these brackets came on the set of JDM Brembos I bought as well. I didn't put them on the 818 but still have them, kinda curious about what they do...

    I believe they are there to remove howling sounds that people were having.
