No doubt, the R was the way to go in the long run. No matter what you did to the other one, it would still never be an R model. Congrats on finally getting one.

Congratulations Chris!
I hope you will post up a bunch of pictures after you get her home. Really happy that you were able to get what you wanted, at a deal that made sense.
As others have said, I too am jealous!! Drive safely down and back.

Steve
Update with a few more pics....
The R has been home for a few weeks, but I finally found the time to do a thorough undercarriage cleaning (to get rid of shipping smeg) and detail the rest of it. No waxes or silicone products, though, as the Xpel paint protection film guy is coming to my shop next week to do his thing. Once that's done, I can install the front splitter and start putting some break-in miles on it!!!!
The now clean car - note the blank-out plate for where the radio and screen would normally go, as well as the non-A/C heater controls.... likely a last of a breed - a fairly stripped down car....

Quit Posting These Pictures!
You're making me want to go by a new vehicle, possibly a Ford.

Woah! That is just too cool. Sorry Gumball. The R is mighty sweet, but that thing is awesome. And I bet it has a functioning radio.
