Thanks, RJD. My guess is they will let it sit for the weekend, then commence to sanding and buffing. I'll post more as they come in to me.
If nothing else, there will be more as I get it home and get to the punch list... still gotta finish this Build Log.

Thanks Jeff. I was worried it would look too 'circus', but keeping that blue small worked well, I think. I'll see it in person later this week.

    Boyd-

I really, really like the paint!! Great choices that complement each other very nicely. That blue pinstripe is a really nice accent, that will work well together with the interior plans.

I also really like the main body color; very rich look to it.

I look forward to seeing some more as she gets wrapped up. Thanks for posting the details, and also showing tremendous patience with the process; that couldn't have been easy.

    All the best!

    Regards,

    Steve

Thanks Steve. Its a great feeling to see whats in my head coming together... and it works. I was concerned it would be totally fuzzed up. Hopefully, I'll see it Friday.

Waiting, heh. Yeah, its been a while, but thats the choice I made. And I'm really not in a hurry. For me, a lifetime mechanic, the build has been therapy, a hobby, spending nice time with a good friend. Never been in any hurry.

I hear ya, Boyd. Towards the end of my build, I kept thinking of ways to get a little more build time in.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. We know we dont build these cars to make others happy, but it's nice to hear / see from your peers. Picked up the Boss Saturday and got it home safe. Jeff Collins at Whitby had a little surprise for us... pics are coming.

Time to start putting her together. This is the detailed stuff that has been seen about a thousand times, but it's a build, so I'm gonna post it up

Installed Breeze hood and trunk prop rods. I've never been crazy about gas struts and they are a serious PITA when they get weak. Cant go wrong with a good ol' polished stainless prop rod.

The hood rod I installed per the Breeze instructions, but on the trunk I didnt really feel like dropping the tank to install a cotter pin. So I used an adel clamp and mounted it to the trunk floor. Looks OK, and besides, its in the trunk.

Next I got the fuel filler going. Tired of smelling gas in the garage and not really safe to have it open, even if covered. Standard ops here, except i ditched the self tappers and installed stainless oval head screws with washers and nuts and yes, antiseize. I didnt understand the terminals on the ground strap being so big, so I installed my own and now its all good. Also replaced the supplied tank filler pipe seal with a Ford piece. Better quality and should last longer. PN F4ZZ-9072-DA

Last for today I started to install the Breeze upper radiator cover. Got 2 clecos in and had to quit...

cuz the dog needs a walk and I got chores to finish up (living alone, its all on you, man).
Small stuff, but all part of the 2 pages of punch list items to get through.

    Later...

Finished up the Breeze radiator cover today. This really is one of the simplest things but a nice piece.

Looking up at the top front of the radiator:

Got all the exterior lights installed today. Headlihts are JW Speaker 8700 Evo2 projector LEDs. Some may not like the style but I do and I love how much light they put out. The bug eyed look doesnt bother me a bit.

F5 stock parking / TS lights with amber LED's installed. Yes... bright. This is on dim.

And with the headlights, also on dim.

Finally, the tail end, still on dim. I may get a video of how I wired the tail lights to work... All 4 are brake lights, then both lights on each side flash for turn signal. All 4 flash for Hazards. It really is a lot of light.

    Back to work...
