Cruise Control with Mike Forte’s Mechanical Throttle Linkage?

I’m sure some of the skilled folks on here have connected Mike Forte’s linkage with a cruise control system. I thought I had seen a thread with on the topic, but can’t seem to find it now so maybe I was dreaming it. Does anyone know of a thread on this?
    Thanks

This is how I routed mine. In the pics, I have a throttle cable. I have since swapped it out with the Forte mechanical linkage with no changes to the cruise control setup.

When talking to Rostra yesterday about which specific cruise control unit I needed to get, some questions about the GPS speedo and associated outputs came up. Does the GPS speedo have an output that can drive the CC controller? If not, I may have to buy an additional converter from Dakota Digital to make it work. Any help here from the community is greatly appreciated.

Your TKX has an internal speed sensor. Even though you're not using that for your speedo because of GPS, you can still use that output for your cruise control. Don't think of trying to convert the GPS signal. Just get the data the old fashioned way. Shouldn't need a converter.

If you used the GPS speedo signal and there was a momentary loss of GPS signal to the speedo, what would the cruise control do?

    Could be ugly.

You wouldn't use the GPS signal. As Paul said, use the speedo signal output from the side of the tranny.

Thanks for the input. I thought that may be the answer, but the Rostra guy's questions threw me off.

Here is some more info for you. I did a write up a while ago.

The difference with you without the AutoMeter gauges is here:

    F. Gray Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Wire - RF dark green speedo signal wire behind the speedo

You will need to go directly to the tranny speedo signal sender.
