The ones from FFR are small and don't fill the openings in the nose. I bought lights for an 89 Mustang GT from CJPony parts with brackets and they fit and look great. My complete kit came with the little ones. I will check for the info you asked for.

The FFR driving lights are 3-5/8" diameter and are made by Eagle Eye.

I think FFR could have done a better job planning for the install of the "newer, smaller" driving lights. As someone has mentioned, the hinge bracket interferes with the design spacing on the light mount. I made an installation adaptor plate out of ABS that eases the centering of the light in the bucket and makes removal of the light easy later on down the road. If anyone is interested I can supply a fab drawing and photos.

The 87 mustang lights wil do the trick.
Mark had me take off the bracket and drill a hole through the center of the back housing. Then drill a hole in the center of the bucket and the hinge and put a nut on the other side.

The lights that came with my Gen II Coupe were made by Eagle Eye Lights, Model 1863BW. The lights are a smaller diameter than previously supplied. I needed to find a way to center the light in the bucket and devised an adapter plate. i determined a "step drill" was a better tool than a twist drill for enlarging the hole in the mounting bracket for the rivet nuts. Attached is a drawing and pics of the install. I made the adapter plate from 5/16" ABS Plastic.Fog Lamp Adaptor Mount Plate.jpgAttachment 66892DSC_0006.JPGDSC_0012.JPGDSC_0013.JPGDSC_0014.JPG

Thanks Ron That idea that you came up with is really cool. I always wondered where the pivot point was for the tilt front end. I know some have talked about being in that area, but not exactly where it was. Those lights are small.

Looks like FFR is using different driving lights again. In the new pictures on FFR's website of the Gen3, they appear to be larger, and have a different lens. I gather FFR looks and works with vendors who will fill their needs.

I'll have to go back into photoshop and see what size the driving lights scaled out as. I always use the front head lights for a reference to to scale out the front.

Hey David, I used the slot in the hinge bracket because it allowed fore and aft adjustment in the hood to allow precise alignment between the wheel well and body pontoon.

I took the bracket off, and drilled a hole through the center of the back end. Then drilled through the center of the bucket and hinge. A long bolt and a spacer make up the rest.
