Question Any ideas on how to reduce the engine heat coming into the cabin, past the dash?

Have a MK IV I completed in 2014. Great car, lots of fun, but when the outside temp is over 90 deg, the hot air passing by the manifolds enter the cabin by the front of each door. If I could block that hot air, the car would be much more comfortable to drive. Any ideas?

The kit includes expanding foam and the instruction manual shows installing right before the body is installed for the last time. But common that the step is missed or another method is used instead. Some options in this thread: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-fact...-firewall.html

I used the insulation Jeff recommends. It works very well with just a little shaving. Seals completely

    Hi Bomber,
I am looking into building a roadster next year, seeking input and information on the cars. Would like to meet you and your car sometime. I am up in Somerset, a great afternoon drive from Stockton, if you need a reason for a drive! Otherwise, let me know if we can meet up sometime when you have the car out.
    Thanks, Brien (BB767)
