Looking for Owners in the North Texas area.

    Hello,

I'm looking to meet some owners of completed or near completed cars in North Texas. I'm located in Dallas. I have absolutely no experience building cars, but they have always been a hobby. My dad, brother, and I are looking for a project and I was immediately interested in the 818C and GTM FFR kits.

I don't know if we are going to build a car or not, but I am very eager to see some completed cars and meet some builders/owners to get some advice.

If you would be willing to meet up I am absolutely willing to go to a location of your choosing to talk about your car and experience building it.

Please feel free to pm me here, or respond on this thread.

    Thanks,

    Harrison

In the area is [http://www.classicbmw.com/carsandcoffee.htm] and at least one Cobra club.

Thanks! I have no idea why I didn't think of Cars and Coffee.

I'd also still be very interested in meeting anyone with a GTM or 818 within 4-5 hours of Dallas.

If I remember correctly, F5 is coming to town in August [https://www.factoryfive.com/event/sn...nstance_id=17]. With a little luck they should be able to hook you up. There are at least three 818 owners here, but I do not know of any GTMs.

I'm in Grand Prairie, with a completed 818s. PM me if you want to see it.

Thanks! The chances are very good that we will go to the Snap-On Nationals as well.

Josh was the Texas title registration easy to do or was it complicated? I'm seriously considering getting either the 818 or the GTM so please don't hold back on the details. This is something that I've always wanted to do.

The registration was easy. The texas manual is not very clear on the instructions but once you have all the paperwork in place I walked out of the office with plates the same day. https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...l=1#post230193

I've been thinking about this in the back of my head for my soon-to-be roadster build. Thanks!
