After 11 years finally got on the road. Drove about 350 miles in three weeks. Finally started to feel comfortable that all was well with the car. Then driving home from work I felt a little something I can't really describe but it was so subtle I thought maybe it was something on the road. 10 seconds later - a loud grinding sound. I immediately took my foot of the gas, pushed in the clutch and pulled over. The sound continued until I came to a full stop. Then I smelled burning oil/lubricant. I'm thinking rear end or transmission and major not minor. A ride home on the flatbed and now I have to figure out what to do.

I know I put it together 10 years ago, but don't feel up to the task of this repair.

Does anyone have a shop they trust in the Annapolis/AA County area? I had one I thought looked good based on the cars in his shop, but after paying him to check my brakes, I had a caliper bolt come out during the safety inspection.
