Behind dash space / Heat insulation

I am presently working on the wiring of my MK4 with a Gen 2. I am at the stage where I have dieted/modified both the RF & Ford harnesses for final install. Before I install the harness back into the car again I was looking for a way to manage and support the wiring behind the dash. I liked the idea of some kind of a grid to attach to so I made the attached backboard to be spaced off of the firewall about 1/16" of an inch just enough to get zip ties behind and around to attach the harnesses and wiring to. Is there enough space behind the dash and instruments to both have this backboard which measures 1/8" plus the standoffs of 1/16" for a total of 3/16" plus Cool It thermo Tec insulation of approx 1/8"?
