It's been a long week with my Mom & Niece both in the hospital at the same time, but both are now out and back at their homes.
Tomorrow my game plan is to get the driveline together with hopes of installing it Sunday.

Sounds like pretty good news all around; very pleased to hear it!

I look forward to some pictures of driveline 2.0...

Things are improving on the home front for both Mom and Niece.
Actually sleeping home tonight for the 1st time in weeks.
It's been this way since my engine came home.
I did make some headway, but not much.
At least my dogs still recognized me!
    The three cats did too!

Came home to get clothes, visit my house and see what you all have been up to lately.
Grandma Go-Dad is improving but still requires 24 X 7 care.
Niece improving, but also needs 24 X 7 care.
Dark Side Dart MK-4 Still On Hold!

PS: My brother has been burning the candle at both ends so say a prayer for him and his daughter if you all don't mind.

    Hey Gang, Guess What!

We put a computer at my Granny's house so I'm back online.
Things are slowly improving on the home front so I expect to finally swing some wrenches on Saturday.
Hope you all are well and if you are a Christian to please remember that this is Holy Week and Easter is only a few days away.
May God Bless The World, Especially Our Factory Five Extended Family!

    Steve,

It's good to hear things are progressing down there in swamp land, USA. It's been a little boring around here without you.

I just started swinging wrenches once more.
Expect to get the driveline together so that it can be installed.
It has been a long and arduous journey for our family, but things are progressing slowly.

No wrenching will be done today since today is the day that the Lord has risen.
We did a trial fit of the driveline yesterday and the Dark Side Dart is sitting in the car right now.
The plan is to pull the engine sometime this week and make a few minor changes to make the car more serviceable.

    Happy Easter Everyone!

    Steve,

Happy Easter! The Lord is risen, indeed!

Glad you are back to wrenching! May your "bowtie" always be Ford blue!

Funny story ... I was at a car show several years ago and this lovely hot rod had what was obviously a small block Chevy motor ... with Cobra valve covers??!!

With some much-appreciated help from my brother (Bernard), son (Brenton), wife (Davey) and wrenching pal down the street (Buddy), we installed the Dark Side Dart 383 & ZF 6-Speed today. Though I've got some additional wrenching to do before we can do our official 1st, 2nd start, I'm very happy to get the driveline back in the car once more.

    Happy Motoring Y'all!

    Steve-

Very pleased to hear about most of the Go-Dad family being on the mend! Trying times to be sure, but hopefully the difficult stuff is behind you!

Sorry to hear about the Camaro. I hope that gets resolved without any issues.

Also pleased to hear about your progress back on your build. I am sure that feels good after the challenges you have been experiencing.

Hang tough, and we are all thinking of you and the extended Go-Dad crew!

    Regards,

    Steve

The re-routed fuel line from the pump to the carburetor really worked out well.

Haven't made it home this week, but hope to be there on Saturday. (Yea!)

Will get after those last 4 items on the list and will also test fit a new hood that we just purchased for Baby Go-Dad's car.
His car got backed into so his new VFN Smooth 3" Sunoco Hood just arrived at Camp Go-Dad-Go yesterday along with his new OEM/Fender.

Just got the Day Shift (Mrs. Go-Dad) to relieve me.

Finally heading to the house to see if the dogs still recognize me and to see if the Dark Side MK-4 is still waiting on it's water pump, pulleys and alternator.

One time I rebuilt an engine 3 times due to metal in the pan. Engine ran great but couldn't figure it out until I realized that I had the wrong timing cover for that particular year block and the chain was grooving out the top of the cover, so I feel your pain and excitement. I'm sure 2nd time will be the charm for ya Steve! Can't wait to hear it fire up!

I didn't to work on the Dark Side MK-4 this weekend since things were a bit rough weekend at Camp Granny!
We did manage to install baby Go-Dad's hood yesterday and got things aligned so his hood on the car and out of our back den.
The best things that happened is my three nieces all got their Master's Degrees in the land of the Ologies:
Criminology, Psychology and Kinesiology so two start work on June 1st while Ms. CSI NOLA will be heading off to Georgia to work on her Ph.D.

Hope to be home this weekend since things are getting a bit better at Camp Granny.
My wife was able to take her out yesterday for a little outing and she had a blast.
Hopefully we can get her to a point where she only needs us here at night.
Evenings are tougher on her more so than the daytime hours.

    1. I made it home for a while and was able to mock up the new header collectors with the Expert Assistance Of My Pal Darrell-Darrell!
    2. Traded in my bike on a new truck, nothing fancy (Ram Tradesman Work Truck With Power Window) since I'm a simple man with simple needs.
    3. Made my buddy Brion happy and sold him the Go-Dad-Go Corvette to $2,000.00 just to aggravate his wife because I have that effect on her.
    4. The attached is an old video of the car that will be departing this week so I hope he has fun with it: https://youtu.be/svZX2BMSDEs
