    shocks

I talked to Ted Harrison owner of Quick Racing Products. He said if we can get enough people wanting to upgrade shocks he will have another run made. For more information watch his YouTube video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvuLhHjW29Y ..

He said he found running a softer spring and a stiffer shock the car will handle quite a bit better.

    You can contact him at:

If anybody has anymore thoughts I would love to hear them.

    thanks

Just to follow up on this. Do not go to quick racing products. Ted said he can no longer get shocks and was absolutely no help what so ever on any alternatives or suggestions. I did get a recommendation on here to try ridetech shocks. They were very helpful and several other GTM owners have use their shock before. Fyi quick racing products does not sell the front sway bars anymore either. That will be my next adventure.

I can do QA1 DA sets if you are interested. I just need to know the extended length you want and the spring rates.

the people I have talked to who drive there GTM on the street and track say the factory spring rate is too stiff and the shocks are too soft. you do not get much traction on rough roads and it is a rough ride. the softer spring rate gives you better traction but you then need sway bars. it does add a little more weight to the car but you get a better ride and traction. at least that is from the information I have read, being I have not installed any of this on my car I can't say from personal experience. I am relying on people much smarter than myself for this information.....lol

I prefer adjustable shocks so for the street I can soften the shocks up for a better ride and if I am on a smoother track I can stiffen them up a bit.

    Interested.

From what I have read, not what I know, front sway bar and lighter springs are a good setup for a street setup

I tried to buy one that was previously discussed on this forum, but he was no longer producing them.

The rear anti sway bar, in particular, is pretty hard to get on the car. I have seen a number of solutions, but here is mine...

Mike is that the PDG car or your GTM-r? What benefit did you see with the fabricated UCA, keeping the C5 LCA? Did you fabricate the UCA or is that an available part, are the upper mounts closer together than oem?

That is the FFR PDG GTM rear suspension. I questioned posting that picture as I thought it might bring up a lot of questions because there is a lot going on there that you will not see on most GTMs. Basically I am giving away some of our secrets!

That is a My Race Shop custom fabricated rear UCA. I did it so that we could easily adjust camber in the rear. I am still trying to figure out a suitable front UCA arrangement so we can do the same quick camber adjustments on the front. I have a few designs in my head but need to do some experimenting. The rear UCA is a drop in part to replace the C5 UCA. No mounting changes. You can see the shock is now much more straight up and down though. Wink wink.

    FYI.
Not sure what wormhole I managed to fall thought, but...
I ordered, and just received today, a front sway bar (.125) from Ted at Quick Racing Products.
Their advertised lead time was 4 - 6 weeks, and he only missed that by about 500%, but he did come though!
    The parts are beautiful.

He recommended going with 375# front and 650# rear springs with this setup.
