Steve McQueen in Bullet. Chase between charger and mustang is a must watch. Never noticed before but the Elanore is an open diff car. Lame.

I have a stack of old car movie DVDs in my shop - including those mentioned above are....

    Grand Prix
    Dirty Mary Crazy Larry
    Cars (the first one only)
    Elkhart Lake 50th Anniversary Tribute
Easy Rider (okay, it's motorcycles, but a great Rt.66 movie)
    Rebel Without A Cause
Route 66 - An American Odyssey
Route 66 - Return to the Road
    Rush
World's Fastest Indian (okay, another motorcycle movie, but that guy is just too cool)
    Christine
Route 66 (All four seasons of the original TV series)
    The Cobra Ferrari Wars
Steve McQueen - The Man & LeMans
    Used Cars
    American Graffiti
    Mad Max (the original)
    The Road Warrior
    Blues Brothers
    Love the Beast
    Tucker
    LeMans
The Gulf/Wyer GT40s in Action (a documentary from LeMans testing)
    Talladega Nights
    The Transporter
    Smokey and the Bandit
    Transporter 2
    RPM
Speed Racer (original cartoons on DVD)
    Thunder Road
Wild Hogs (yes, another motorcycle movie, but fun)
Maximum Overdrive (great soundtrack if you like AC/DC)
    The California Kid
Grapes of Wrath (another good Rt. 66 movie - lots of footage from the road in '39 when it was filmed)
A Faster Horse (documentary of the development of the current S550 Mustang)
    Ronin
    Two Lane Blacktop
The Italian Job (both the original and the remake)
    Gung Ho
    Vanishing Point
1 (a documentary on the golden years of F1 in the '60s and '70s)
Cannonball Run (only the original version)
Dazed and Confused (okay, it's really more about teenage drug use in the '70s - the "High Times" era - but the cars are just too cool)
    Speedway (bad Elvis movie)
    Spinout (another bad Elvis movie)
    Corvette Summer
    Days of Thunder
Gone in 60 Seconds (both the original and the remake)
    Hollywood Knights
Winning (Paul Newman racing at Road America in the opening scenes is awesome)
    Vacation (Wagon Queen Family Truckster!!!!)
Truth in 24 (Audi documentary on their dominance at LeMans)
Risky Business ("Who's the U-boat commander?)
    The Speed Merchants
    The Driver
    Duel
    No Mans Land
Winning - The Racing Life of Paul Newman
The Last Chase (really bad '70s Lee Majors futurama auto-dystopia)
    The FFR DVD
The new Shelby GT350 technical DVD produced by Ford Performance
    Later,
    Chris

Unlike Chris, I'm a simple man with simple needs.
Look at the recent shop/garage thread and this truth will be found to be self-evident.

    Done!

Gumball, that is more car movies than I could have named if I had a year to think about it! Lots of great titles there. With all that viewing fun, how do you have time to build anything?!! Thanks for the lengthy list.

*** if the mods will let this one through, it is kind like road racing? ***
C'était un rendez-vous is a 1976 French short film directed by Claude Lelouch, showing a high-speed drive through Paris.

If the link is correct, youtube broke on me.
If you have never seen a Ferrari blowing through Paris, this is the one to see!

How about the one with Ronald Reagan. I think its called “The Killers”. Not the original one, the one from the 60’s.

This is a must watch, however the car that Claude Lelouch actually drove in this short film was not a Ferrari. It was a Mercedes 450 SEL. The dubbed soundtrack is Ferrari.

Winning: The racing life of Paul Newman.

    https://www.amazon.com/Winning-Racin...fe+paul+newman

You'll see that he was a car guy who just happened to act rather than the other way around.

And of course I have to add "Cars", my Grandson's favorite which we must have watched together a few dozen times (and coincidentally features Paul Newman as Doc Hudson; "Steer right to go left" )

You are correct it was shot with a Mercedes camera car however there are two versions of the sound track. The early version was really good. The later one stunk. I bought the later one not knowing any different and couldn't give it away.

The original 1974 is the best, much better than the remake.
