    getting off the ground

I've been thinking about building a cobra for some time now, and now's the time to get started.
I'm planning on doing a complete mk4 kit, and already have a 289/302 rebuilt engine.
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on headers I should be using. I found some original aluminum mustang ones on craigslist for $65, but wasn't sure if I should be spending $600 for the FF ones, or there's something in-between the two extremes.
I talked to someone at FF and they recommended a 4-into-1 style header, but was looking for more guidance.
Planning on ordering my kit this spring.
    Thanks in advance.

if our looking to "save where you can", the shorty headers will work. you have to use the "j" pipe to connect to your side pipes. Plan now and work your plan when the kit arrives. Plenty of experience and talent on this forum, Good Luck!
