    Production/delivery timing.

I wonder if Mad Dog, FFinisher, Dave could give us a update of where progress is on the pickup. I am retired, have an empty garage, and my wife is getting nervous with me around so much, and I need to have something to do soon.

    Thanks, Ralph

Thanks Dave Smith for your website posted update. So, you are within weeks of shipping beta truck kits, and maybe only a month away from production. Great news.

Can someone elaborate on what a beta truck means? Does it mean that preferred assemblers get them, and they then provide feedback to FFR?

    Thanks, Ralph

Marv, you are ahead of me. Got email from FFR yesterday indicating mine was 5-26. And, asked if I could get it sooner, and they will see depending on if there are some that do not go forward with their order.

On other info., they indicated they were changing the rearend to one that is about 5" wider. I guess for larger tires, but still fit under the fenders.

I have a 4/28 date and Tony mentioned I was #4. There's going to be a half dozen of us that blaze this trail!

Sorry Ralph. I don't work at FFR. I don't think I have any more knowledge than what has already been shared.

    OK, this has me confused:

"On other info., they indicated they were changing the rearend to one that is about 5" wider. I guess for larger tires, but still fit under the fenders. "

The "Rear-End" is everything in the drive-line between the tires, correct? If this is wider and the distance from Left Fender to Right Fender is the same, how would this facilitate "Larger" tires. I would think that if nothing else changed, then the wheels would need about 2.5" of additional offset to provide the same tire fitment. and the maximum height would be unchanged. Am I correct?

According to Jim, the switch was do to availability issues more than a width change. If you don't want the axle width from a stock donor, any rear end supplier can hook you up with what you want.

You cannot use a banana bracket that is offset like the mustang, The bracket does not clear the frame. the later mustangs have the center third link necessary on the pickup.

IIRC he also said it helped the calipers clear either the body or the chassis as well.
