Hood front lower corners hit grill

When the hood has to come up before going forward, the lower corners are binding on the grill. Now I haven’t set this gap yet so t is way too tight, but I am afraid that once I do, it’ll get closer before actually clearing and maybe be too close. How did you guys solve, or did you color this issue, or will it have enough clearance once clearances are set?

    Thanks!

I like to make my gaps 3/16". I have very few problems with that size gap. My guess is once you gap it all will work fine.

Thanks man. Was gonna try to remedy that today but the wife and baby are home sick. Maybe next week!

I have to get the drivers door skin extended, gaps set, or back on, hood top working tight and top on before March 24th car show for church. I wanna enter it in the project category.
