    Trans removal after built

Haven't tried yet. Can a TKO 600 trans (with Coyote engine and scatter shield) be removed from underneath? Didn't want to pull the engine. I have a small trans oil leak at the center gasket, but only when it's running. Only 500 miles and not run hard.

I don't have any actual experience (thankfully) but this has been talked about before. This thread: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...r-with-TKO-600. And this one: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-fact...l-mk3-1-a.html. There are more but these should give some ideas.

Thanks for your post. I have to pull my tko trans as I believe I have an antifreeze leak between the trans and block. As I have researched the possible source of the leak, it is quite likely to be the rear camshaft plug.

I first suspected is was an intake manifold leak. Removed and not the case. It then looked like possibly the right cylinder head gasket. Removed and not the case.

    Are we havng fun yet?

    Jay,
I ended up splitting the trans cases while still in the car. I could slide the rear case back approx 8", enough to allow me to clean and reseal between the tans cases. That being said, I never tried removing the entire trans.
    Good luck,
    David aka Ducky

    Jay,

Did you get much coolant flow, meaning coolant leakage, when you pressure tested your cooling system?

    Steve,

I did pressure check the system and found a constant drip running down the face plate between the trans and block. I also discovered a leak from the water pump.
