I am looking for the best place to create a tow point on the front of my 818s. I know I shouldn't put one on the radiator frame because that is not part of the main frame. Any ideas?

What I did was use the mounting points for the steering rack to add some bracing to the bottom of the radiator frame.

Sorry I'm a little late on this thread. generally for cars with exposed roll cages like an S and an R there is no need or requirement for a tow strap hard point. The track crew will tie onto the roll cage/bar. That's the way formula cars and sports racers have always been towed at the track.
But check with your local track/event organizer first.

Gator is correct but a S with a windshield could be issue that you won't have with a R. I did put a tow point low on the back of the chassis on my car for getting pulled out of gravel traps if I happened to end up in one stuck.
