    2018 Open House Cancelled?

Someone posted on Facebook that there was no open house this year and it's gone to a bi annual thing. (sorry to the original poster, as usual with FB, once you scroll past something you can never seem to find it again)

WHAT!!!???? no way. Sure enough it's not on their website schedule. I'm pretty sure it was there a few weeks ago because I had gone and penciled in all the car shown dates for the year on my calendar and had gone to their site to confirm it and it was posted for June 9th - and now it's gone.

It's really a shame but they do have an intense show schedule this year so I'm sure something had to give. There are three other big shows (Carlisle, BJ and London) that month alone so the crew probably has their hands full.

I was the one to make the decision as I was the one to also decide against moochfest.

The Moochfest event was conflicted with supporting a live build at Barrett Jackson, the Grand National Roadster show (massive efforts on the far side of the country), the launch of the Hot Rod Truck, and a major effort integrating VR into CAD for our next generation supercar design.

The Open House is always a fun time, but this year I have an opportunity to work more closely with Ford on a project that requires quite a bit of resources (beyond just the Carlisle show). The Ford Carlisle event, the London Cobra Show (they are seeking a donation of a kit or part of) and prepping for another live-build at the east coast Barrett Jackson show made the Open House really untenable.

I am very sorry if I've caused any change of plans and tried to get this up 5 months in advance. If I am successful, the stuff we are working on and the redirection of resources will make this worthwhile.

Thanks for weighing in Dave. You guys have a TON on your plate that is to the benefit of FFR and what is good for FFR is GREAT for us!

Personally, I CAN'T WAIT for what comes down the pike next at Factory Five!

I would think Dave would miss having the open house. I know I would love it if I had a chance to see people who are excited about a company that I'd started. It would be the "refill" that i'd need, and would look forward to it each year. Too bad.
