    Coyote alternator location?

I may be posting this prematurely as I am still looking at instructions.

If you cut the alternator tab off the block, where does the alternator mount then? In ac location? Except what if I am running ac? I’m gonna keep looking but seeing that step gives me the heeby jeebies.

Ok. Found it. A civic alternator mounted backwards. I assume the brackets are somewhere in my coyote installl kit? What about the alternator? I don’t remember one but that’s been a while ago lol.

Svt, you need an alternator for a 2001-03 Honda Civic DX 1.7L MFI SOHC part #12308, I also got the correct pigtail to plug into the alternator. I didn't like the idea of just using a spade connector, I de-pinned the other wires out of the pigtail.

Thanks Mr Bill. Where did you get the pigtail? Usually I don’t mind spades stuck in but I’m seeking a higher level of refinement on this project.

Here you go, this is how mine setup with the Honda alternator.

I have more if you need clarification. We needed to shorten the top left spacer by an eighth to align the pulley close to perfect.
PS. You can never think too far ahead, I alleviated a lot of issues by looking ahead and researching what others may or may not have done. In my case i had a 2013 5L F150 Engine and was told that we needed to replace the oil pan and the timing chain cover. I discovered that the oil pan was 5-5/8" tall from the block which was the same as the Mustang GT engine. As well in not changing the pan we did not need to change the timing chain cover as I lopped off the lobe (just more to lop off that's all). As you can see in the photos the belt is fine and I may just need to get a belt that's 20mm shorter and we may be fine, we will know when we start the engine in 2-3 weeks!

My son went to the local scrap yard and got the correct connector from the right car and spliced it in which makes a clean connection and routes it properly as well.

SVT, unfortunately I don't remember where I got it from. I found it on the web and ordered it. But AJT's idea of the scrap yard is a possibility.
