Stupid question about coil ignition power feed

    Hello,

I am trying to start up this thing today. I have a gas inside the carburetor. I checked the spark and not getting spark there.
I noticed coil isn't being feed. Can someone tell how many wires do I need?

I checked the wires and noticed one that mentioned 'coil.' Do I just connect to the red wire on top of the coil??

You just need a switched +12v power feed to the + side of the coil. The orange coil wire you are holding in your picture from the RF harness will do the trick. Leave the two existing wires on the coil that run to the distributor where they are, just add the power wire.

The red wire that is connected to one of the threaded terminals looks like it goes distributor (points) the other terminals doesn't look like it has anything connected to it. It should have 12 volts connected to it which is most likely your coil wire.
Put a volt meter on the coil wire, you should have 12 volts when the key is on.

    Hi Jim,

The other terminal has a black wire connected. And it goes back to the distributor.

Thanks Papa. I will connect the orange wire to the red wire terminal side and try to crank it up...
