Brake dust

I have the wilwood 12.88/12.19 which work great but it seems i have to wash the car after every drive.....not that i mind washing it. The brake dust on rear quarters and behind the front wheel to the door is incredible. running stock pads. are there any other options or should i install a floor drain in the garage?

Does Wilwood have a ceramic pad? Much less dust and no squeal (at least non a human can hear).

I’m not sure if Wilwood offers a ceramic pad for the 6712 pad plate design. You can try a BP-20 material for the fronts and rears but it may not offer any reduction in brake dust. These Wilwood brakes are more performance orientated and brake dust sometimes goes with it. You can try calling Wilwood and ask their option.

Also have had great results with Outlast on HP+ pads (very dusty). Dust wipes off with a dry paper shop towel. Use it on all the cars & trucks

Wilwood "Q" pads are pretty clean from what I remember. BP-20s are dirty, BP-10s might be cleaner and are more of a street pad. The Levy/Wilwood system I have came with BP-10s but no experience with these.

You say running "stock" pads. I've had the Wilwood option from Factory Five twice, and both times came with BP-10 semi-metallic. I don't find them particularly dirty at all. A little dust on the wheels, but that's it. Certainly nothing on the body. Wilwood describes them as "High performance street compound with improved friction, longer wear and lower dust levels than standard replacement pads." For street use I've found they work OK. I would check if that's what you really have. If you don't, maybe switch to them. If you do have BP-10's, then something doesn't seem right. Certainly doesn't match my experience. Or others that I know about. Or what Wilwood says about them.

+1 Not unlike high traction tires wear fast.

Also the harder the pads tend to bite the harder they tend to be on rotors. My F/E 250 kart is crazy hard on rotors but then again it stops just about as fast as car into a brick wall.

You may want to check with Porterfield Racing Brakes to see if they have Wilwood pads in their R4-S compound. I have them on my car and they are excellent.
