    More progress from the painters

Stopped by the paint shop today. Almost done with gapping the doors and hood. Smoothing all the openings edges, wheel wells etc.
Also filled the holes in the back of the doors that I had to make to fit the door skins.
Should be in first coat of primer by Wednesday!

Thanks Garry!! It's nice to have the painter 15 minutes from my house and him focusing on one car at a time. Every time I go it looks different. As an "old-timer" he's really into the details to make it look good. And I'm letting him do his thing. Should be taking the body off on Wednesday to shoot the primer. Then I get the chassis back so I can do a few more things to it. Started making a list of things to do on the go-cart, and then when I get the car back with paint.
    The list isn't short!

    John-

But the list is a heck of a lot shorter than when you started, right? HA

Those paint pictures must have you pretty stoked!! I am excited to see your paint choice, and the result as well.

The light at then end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. Congratulations on the progress!

    Regards,

    Steve

    Steve,

Right you are!! Yeah it’s cool to see the transformation every time I go. He is also going to really shape around the rear window to make the fit spot on. It’s those little details that make me comfortable with my choice of painter.
It is going to be fun from here on in, with just reassembly for the most part.
Do have to finish some heat/AC stuff.
