Where is your front license plate?

I am a long way from needing an answer, but I suddenly thought where do people put their front license plates? I didn't remember seeing any pics with one on.

Sure enough, a google image search shows just ONE with a plate stuck on the bottom point of the grill. But there are loads on the road.. how did you find a nice place that didn't look like a$$ (especially interested in fenderless).

I'm in Texas too, I am thinking of not running it until I am "told" otherwise. I am in a cobra however.

I'm in the 'wait until I have to' camp. I've been running for two years without a front plate on my daily driver, but had considered one of these when I first bought the car:

No front plate needed here in NM.
No emissions testing (no CAT's required) in the county I live in either.

I lived in Idaho for most of my life and they require a front plate (now in Arizona which does not). I had a 32 roadster and never ran the front plate. I had a number of law enforcement officers comment on how nice the car was and none of them ever said anything about the missing plate.

That's where I keep the plate for my daily driver. I figure if I do get stopped and asked about it, I can at least produce it on the spot.

I think it's a universal unwritten code among cops to not bust cool cars with no front plate - unless you drive like an idiot and then it will be on the list of infractions on your ticket

    RoadRacer,

I don't know what it's like in Texas for the custom cars but when I had Antique plates on my 76 Vette they did not issue a front plate. Maybe we will be lucky and they are doing the same for cars titled for 1933.

Would be a fun story to get a warning for being too low, like Milner - "Oh no sir, it's regulation 12.5 inches"

I think I would be more like.... "No Sir, that's what I tell my wife is 12 and a half inches."

Hopefully he would laugh and then just let me go.
