    Help building up engine

I have a 302 from 99 explorer, no heads or intake. I got some 351 heads from a 1978 302 to install. So I assume I will need:
    351 intake
    Push rods from 302 ?
    302 timing cover
    302 water pump
Distributor for 302 or 351 ?Or are they one in the same ?
Will be using a/c from 65 coupe, no power brakes or steering, so what pulley setup is going to work
    T-5 for fox body

    Will be carb.

    Thanks guys

    Bil1024,

If you search "are 302 and 351 blocks the same" on google, you get a lot of answers there that you are looking for.

John has the right idea, do some research regarding your engines cross reference of parts. 302's and 351 are NOT the same block-wise. 351's are taller in the cylinder banks. Use a 302 dizzy, 351 won't fit in at the bottom [alignment hole] where the oil pump shaft connects to the dizzy shaft. Heads are interchangeable from 351's to the smaller 302. That was a popular swap in the old days when FORD came out with the 351. Cams are interchangeable. 302 push rods as the geometry is 302 no matter what heads you use.

Water pumps should be interchangeable as well as timing covers -about 6 to choose from depending on normal CC rotation or "reverse" rotation.

Intake should be 302 as the heads will be closer together then 351's are.
