The Money Hemorrhage for 2018 has Started...

Besides the upcoming costs of the MkIV kit, and then another chunk going to Mr. Forte... I just got the invoice for the new dock system for the lake place.

It won't go in until "ice-out" or after, but the dealer got it from the mfg - then turned around and dropped the parts-n-pieces at the house... This little tid-bid wasn't voiced when we placed the order. I think I'll delay payment until they're assembling and getting it in the water! If I pay for it now it's mine, and laying unsecured in the yard!

Due to an unusually late "ice-out" up here in the Northland, every dock company is weeks behind on installations....
I've got a substantial amount of aluminum sitting on the yard, and "Mid-June" is not acceptable.

Screw the dock people. My guests and I had the new system in the lake in about 4 hours. Guess who won't be getting the "hold-out" payment on the total?

    Ice, Ice?

I thought that stuff only came out of my ice maker in my freezer.

Does that stuff really end up in lakes?

Every time I hear it I frown and think about living in North Dakota.

Hey, there's people (I'm not one of them) that drive out on it, drill holes in it, and sit in -10deg's and try and catch fish... or they spend more than a "Complete Kit" money on a custom Ice Castle "fish house" to tow out on the frozen water to watch TV, sleep, drink, and MAYBE do some actual fishing!

Okay guys. Don't let Steve BS you. He showed us pictures of Louisiana from this winter that had more snow on the ground than I did in Colorado!
