I have a Hydramax clutch system. The instructiobns said to Use only DOT3 or DOT4 high temperature non-silicone brake fluid. I hope that helps

Yes, it does... I was planning on using DOT 3 since that is what I'm used to in my 69 Austin Healey but I haven't done a hydraulic system in a modern car yet so wasn't quite sure if that was still the go to fluid. I'll look into DOT 4 as well but you confirmed my thinking.
Thanks much
DOT 3 is fine for a hydro clutch. If you have 4 left over from the brake system go for it. Non-silicone. Heat isn't really a issue with the clutch.
