Why can I not make these adapters fit?!

I have spent two days trying to get these adapters on the end of the coolant pipes. I have tried everything I could find on the forums from heat guns to lubricants and I cannot get this adapter on! I am also concerned that when I do, I will not get the connector over the adapter. What am I doing wrong here??! The manual makes it sound so easy!

That looks like the adapter that is not used. My kit had two adapters, one shipped inside the other. The inner was not use and that looks like what you have. There should be adapters that fit over the one pictured.

Throw them away, go to your local auto parts store and buy a couple generic radiator hoses, cut them up to fit your needs and you will be much happier.

This was my experience. Turbo Subaru hoses are 0.5" larger in diameter than NA Subaru hoses if I've read correctly

Absolutely! OR if you want to spend more money buy some quality silicone couplers. I didn't use any of the provided couplers.
