    Oil Pressure Sending Unit Issues-Speedhut

I have the Speedhut Vintage Gauge set that was ordered with my kit. It says to use the oil pressure sender that came with the gauges, so I did so. I hooked up the signal and ground wires and it reads about 20PSI when the key is turned. When I start the car it remains about 20PSI higher than it should be....(and no Teflon tape was used). Thoughts?

I had one that never read correctly and totally failed after about 1000 miles. Speedhut sent me a new one and it reads correctly now. So, I'd say there is a good chance your sender is bad.

Ditto. I got a sender where the ground terminal was broke and the gauge didn’t read correctly because of it. They told me that they got a questionable batch of them. Call and they will send a replacement free of charge.

I've had 2 or 3 Speedhut oil pressure senders fail on multiple builds. They have excellent customer service but unfortunately I can't say the same for their quality control.

I’ve had issues with my fuel pressure sending unit/gauge and called today and Speedhut immediately shipped me a replacement sending unit. They said it’s common and they were awesome about replacing.

Don't the Speedhut fuel gauges work with standard ford fuel tank sending units? Simply calibrate them from the gauge with the included wire interface?
