I have decided to use latch handles on the doors like many on thd forum have done. I ordered up the kits but the instructions stink. Real easy with a front hinged door but how do I cable these things for our set up? Here's a picture of the latch from Autoloc. 1523057206014-11023907.jpg152305726766178509917.jpg
Obviously, I will need to use the pulley that came with the kit. Please show me how you did it and if you also have door pop solenoids, how you did them as well. Here is where the solenoid is mounted: 15230576241961749575386.jpg
I am using Tim Collins window solution. It works ok but will never be equal to a professional oem style system. I have finished the door handles, door pop solenoid, and cables to make it all work. I'll add pictures if anyone is interested in my method of making a crummy design work for me.
I will be following this as i would like to have a door pop system along with a lock pin as I don't want to have exterior door handles to keep the lines clean, if I am forced to add handles so be it but for now i am avoiding it like the plague if possible. If others can list what door pin locks and door poppers they used on this thread I and I am sure others would appreciate it!! TY!!!
Did you look at other door latches before deciding on this one? Would you have tried another type knowing what you know now? Looking to do similar however if there was a lot of guessing and mods needed may want to stay away from these, your input and comments will help on this! THX!
I tried the pull handles. They were never as smooth as the cable pulls shown here. I never quite got them set up perfectly. They kept binding due to the direct pressure the pull put on the lever. I tried to modify them and convert them to handles. Worked good but with heavy use they eventually were worn.
