    Exhaust Collector Help

I have a set of headers that I received with my engine that have a 3 inch collector flange, but the flange connection to the exhaust system straight pipe is 2.5 inch. Before I go buy a new set of headers, can anyone point me to a solution that will adapt the two? I have found a few things that would involve cutting and welding to make it work, which I am not interested in doing, I would rather just buy a new set of headers in that case.

I just bought some 2.5 to 2.25 transition cones to match my BBK headers to the FFR pipes.
Some cutting and welding will be required.
    Good luck in your search.

Header adapters (reducers) are a common item to adapt 3" collectors to smaller exhaust pipes. Check out Summit Racing or Jegs and you should find some that will work. If you don't want to weld your exhaust look for slip on adapters. Possibly you can use 3" to 2.5" header adapters and connect to your 2.5" exhaust piping with 2.5" x 2.5" exhaust tubing adapters and use clamps instead of welding.
