Any suggestions for a "better" quality switch? My dash lights go out and wit just a slight touch of the knob they come back and then will go out. And sometime they work fine??

An genuine branded ACDelco D1588 is an exact replacement and I've found a little better quality than the non-Delco generic supplied in the kit. They're a little over $20 on Amazon, and available elsewhere. Just make sure to get an actual ACDelco part. Note that when you buy the Delco part, it doesn't come with the knob/shaft assembly. But the one in your kit fits and works fine.

I had trouble with my switch right after I had my body work done. Sometimes when I pulled the knob out the fuse would blow. I just replaced it from factory 5. I only paid $25.00 for the replacement switch. I think all the dust from the body work got into the switch and screwed it up.
