Those are mine.....my son made the mounting plate and the clamps were purchased. Almost looks like they belong there.

There ya go... Credit to MisterAdam for the idea. Thanks amigo!!
I loved it when I saw that pic.... who knows where. Such a simple effective, decent looking idea.
I just needed to find black mounts since I'm going with black roll-bars. Plus, the rubber-inserts mean my rollbar won't get marred up at all either.

no problem. i also added a small liner inside the clamp to protect the bars. what would we do without this forum

So would those clamps also fit the older 2" roll bars I wonder? EDIT- I see Lampus calls for using two sided tape, if you use them on 2" bars. I wonder if that method is used instead of the rubber inserts, to allow the larger bars, or if the clamps are supposed to be held in place with it, instead of screws? They don't go into detail.
I have had a pair of those same wheelchair pads sitting on my work bench for several years, imagining how i could incorporate them as head rests. I like the size of them, and they have good quality material as covers.
My pads came, each with two stainless hoops attached to them. They act as pivots for the bars on the wheelchair, that they attach to. When you say you used the provided screws, are the ones that attach those hoops to the pad, the ones you mean?

yes.. these clamps should fit a 2" bar. They come with an asortment of sized rubber inserts... including at a minimum just a 3m strip of thin rubber.
This 3m strip is I assume what is supposed to be used for a 2" bar. I used one of the middle sized ones, and one of the thnner sized ones to get a nice snug fit on my standard Mk4 roll bar.
As for the screws.. the pads I bought simply came with some mounting screws that screw into the threaded inserts at the side of the back of the pad. No metal hoop on mine.
It's my understanding that these calf-pads are prety standard, and thus most are designed to fit all chairs. Actaully, the pads I bought came with 2 pairs of mounting holes with different sized screws.
I opted to use the larger of the screw hole sets. The 2" spread holes on this diagram.

This was such a great Idea, I was wanting to know what the O-ring mod was. I searched and could not find anything.

did the same thing for my coupe. Had some extra seats with head rests. remove them and had to do some mods but used the same roll bar brackets. feels and looks like it will do the job. Doug

The "O" ring mod is another brain child from Jeff Kleiner. He may chime in but he used a large o ring to fill the gap between the chrome front indicator ring and the base.
