    Northern CA Builds/Completes/Gathering...?

    Hey guys-

A couple of you may have bumped into me already, but I'm just out fishing for a good Nor Cal car group! Down to hang, BBQ, go to the lake (we have a boat), talk shop, whatever. If you have a COMPLETE car (especially a Type 65) I'd love to ride in one, and obviously anyone else in the area it would be nice to network with as well. My wife and I live in Vacaville, CA and I run a large collision facility out of Napa, CA. If you have a car meet, especially kit related, I'd love to hear about it. Once my car is done I will do my best to get it out on the street as often as possible!

Hope everyone is doing well, and having a happy hump day!

Here's a link to my build:

    Hi Brian,

I am here, as my avatar says, up by Placerville. Have been watching yours, and all the other builds here in NorCal and elsewhere. Have not piped up because not much to say. My Roadster was painted today up at Ken's in Yuba City. Will attempt to attach photos.

I would love to have an excuse to get the car out once it is done, meeting up with other locals would be great. Eddie (Vspeeds) and I have been in touch. It would be an awesome sight if we get together with his 289, my 427, and your Type 65! It will happen someday. Anyway, keep at it and keep in touch as we all get closer to finished cars.

    Hello Brian,

I am in Half Moon Bay and would be interested in a get together. I have had mine a little over two months and getting close to the first start, hopefully later this week. So maybe in a few more months it might be on the road if all goes well and we can set something up.

    Hey guys,

I am currently located in Sacramento, originally from Fairfield. I am doing as much research as I can before I order my gen 3 coupe. I hope to order my coupe in the next couple of months as I would like some advice from builders on what I have chosen to do with my coupe. Here is a list of what will be put into the car. Please comment or make suggestions as this will be my first time taking on a project of this magnitude.

Just saw your post - not sure if you can make it but I'm putting together a gig in the South Bay in a couple weeks.... We are up to about 10 cars I believe right now. Details:

I set this up a couple years back and it’s time for a redo.
Summer is really busy but we have been slacking on getting the Cobras and other toys out on cruises / getting togethers! I am working on fixing that. I'm thinking a back country cruise from Saratoga to Gilroy, a stop at a winery in the Gilroy area, then lunch at my house.

    When - Saturday, June 22rd, 2019 11:00am - 4:00pm (or later)
What - Back country cruise from Los Gatos/Saratoga to a winery in the Gilroy area, then lunch at my house in Gilroy

    Route:
Start – Safeway parking lot, 12876 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd, Saratoga, CA 95070 - 11:00am.
Leg 1 – Highway 9 to Los Gatos / Shannon Rd / Hicks Rd over the hill from Los Gatos to Almaden Valley
Leg 2 - Almaden Expressway to McKean Rd south
Leg 3 – Uvas Reservoir To Watsonville Rd & Day Rd to back hillsd Gilroy
Winery – Aver Family Vineyards (Watsonville Rd / Day Rd, Gilroy)
Lunch: - Casa de Kevin, 945 Ferragalli Ct, Gilroy, CA 95020

My neighbors are all gear heads so we are all good. Plenty of parking.

Would love to see a big turnout!

Hey Guys!! I haven't been on here for a while but definitely would love to get a group together. I built a 33, #600 and live in Antelope, just outside of Sacramento.

I also own a restaurnant in Roseville called Squeeze Burger & do a Cruise ninth on the 1st Thursday of every month. Next one is Thursday Sept 5th from 5-8pm. Would be great to have some other FFR cars there along with mine.

Feel free to message me & I can share my contact info.

I'm in Tracy, looking for a nearby Gen 3 Coupe to see and sit in as well as a mark IV roadster. I am 6' 4" and want to see how well I fit before ordering a kit. I have also read on this forum how there is a different skill level needed to build the coupe and would like to see and ask a builder in person the hurdles they went through to finish a kit.

NCAL Design, I'm in Livermore building a Gen III but it's not completed yet, hopefully getting to a first start in the next few weeks. You're more than welcome to come take a look if you want. The only other Gen III somewhat nearby is over in San Mateo, builder is Dave Tabor. The thread originator TheBabyBadger, was building one but sold it, no idea where it ended up.

Tuftster, would love to drop by to see your build. Do you have kirkey or vintage type seats? I know a lot depends on what is selected in the interior as to how a person fits. I was hoping the baby badger might have had a completed car, but things change for everyone.
