I am currently working on a MKIV with T-Bird type IRS. After assembling the knuckles with new bearings, hubs, and installing the rear diff, I continued on to install the control arm assemblies, and knuckles. However there appears to be an issue with the width. To the face of each hub, I get a total width of about 54". I thought it should be around 59". So, The halfshafts now of course are to long, and/or its far to narrow. I purchased these control arms from Whitby, and the packing slips show they are supposed to be for a "standard width IRS". Is it possible they sent me the control arms for a pin drive type of IRS. Any help would be appreciated. I am in Canada, a few hours north of Duluth, MN. I'm hoping I did something wrong, but I can't see where I can go wrong, its seems fairly simple.
