    Best Car Covers

Looking for recommendation / opinions on car covers. Would like to carry one in the trunk in case I get caught in the rain. Thus it needs to be water resistant. Any help appreciated.

FFR sell a cover. I've had one for some time. It 's made to order for the roadster. Comes down low to the ground for complete coverage. It is lightweight fabric that can be stuffed easily in the trunk or behind one of the seats. I bring it when touring. I have used it during rain events and it has kept the car completely dry.

I got mine from Car cover world they have several different types of materials and they are custom made to include one or two roll bars

I am very happy with the one I purchased from them

I just bought a snapless cover for my Mk1 for cruise-ins where here in FL rains come unannounced. However I need a full car cover so this thread is very helpful.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do like the one from carcoverworld. Do you have any issues with it fitting over wind wings and quick jacks?

mburger, I've spent a lot of time working in Florida over the years and never did get used to sporadic rain showers. I learned to carry an umbrella.

I have the chrome overriders and I put the sun visors down and move the wind winds in before I install the cover no issues with either one

I use the cover every time I put the car in the garage

After seeing the weathershield HP in action in London last year, I ordered one this spring.

It arrived and I test fitted it the other day. In my mind I remember them fitting very snug. They looked like a perfect fit for our cars. Mine didn't fit as well as I was expecting. It's VERY loose.

I got the hose out and it shed water like expected but it's so loose the water pools. The top will eventually fill us inside the car. I'm not happy.

When ordering I specified dual rollbars. Can anyone post a pic of their weathersheild HP on the car. Here are a couple of mine.

I have the form- fit model. It is without a pocket for the roll bar and is not a glove fit.

Do my attached pictures above look wrong then? Should I be contacting them? Look at one of the photos. I'm thinking a steady rain would fill the entire cockpit area with water. It doesn't run off because it's so loose.

Your pictures look normal to me. Yes, if it's raining hard it will make a puddle there. No big deal. Lift the covering and it runs right out. During the monsoons at London last year (multiple inches during the day, don't remember the exact amount) I had to lift and empty a couple of times. But no water ever made it through to the other side. I hadn't seen that before in multiple other uses in more routine conditions.
