    Car shipping

Looking for car shippers that people have used and would recommend. I need to ship a car from the DFW area to Stuart FL. I got a quote from intercity Lines, but want to shop around.

    Thanks

I used Reliable Carriers for a car in the past and was happy with them. Not sure how their price compares to others but they have a big fleet so it may be more convent for them then some smaller carriers.

I just used Intercity (for the second time) this past March to ship a car from So-Cal to NJ. Their quote was within $100. of Reliable and Horseless and a few hundred more than a broker. Would I use Intercity again? YES! Communication with the office staff was excellent. The car was picked up in approximately 7 days and the car was in NJ 6 days later. The driver was very professional and also communicated with his ETA. The car was double covered (soft car cover and plastic on top of that). Great experience.

I've used A-1 Auto Transport without problems. They seem to be more on top of the long distance state to state thing than some of the others I talked to. Pretty affordable as I remember too.
