component identification
can someone tell me what this bar is for? Welded on one side and bolted on the other. The bolt I'm pointing to was loose only hanging on by 1 thread. I tightened it but, it still felt odd.. kinda sloppy-ish

The bar is attached to this.

What the heck is it? Custom mod?

That is the mount for the 3 link rear end upper link, commonly referred to as the "banana bracket". The factory supplied bolt is too short to reach the nylock portion of the nut so if it was not replaced with one of the proper length when Scott built the car it would explain why it came loose.

I believe the banana bracket was welded on? If so, do these bolts do any good? I asked because they wont tighten up.

With the bracket welded, the bolts aren't even needed. My bracket was welded on at Moser and I don't even have the bolt portion of the bracket.

You may find that only the rear portion was welded and if you look at the front half you'll find that it is not.

If that is all the weld then i would want to have the bolts tight.
