Mark IV Roadster is for sale, 80% complete.

Unfortunately, events in my life, joint health issues, and coming move across the country are forcing me to put up for sale my MKIV Roadster. Last August, Mark D (traveling builder) helped me get all the systems working, engine running, and electrical hooked up, we only needed another 2 days to get to go kart and body on.

But since then, I have only been able to put in a day’s worth of work due to joint issues and knee surgery. So being realistic, I don’t think I can complete it by myself, and I don’t have any friends locally that are able to help me finish it. I really wanted to keep her, but I am having too much difficulty with my back, hip, and knee to do it by myself. I tried hard to work on her, but I couldn’t with knee that needed surgery. So after some internal debate, it’s time for her to go to a good home, as I don’t have a way to finish her.

I am asking for $22,000 obo, many details below, but I have many more parts not even listed. I am also willing to consider trade for a muscle/classic car 60’s-80’s era.

Here is the lowdown on chassis 8666
Here is a list i made of everything i can think of.

I had intended to build her as a “street” Roadster with no hood scoop, under car exhaust and auto trans.

Chassis 08666, base kit, powder coated

Rebuilt 302 (306ci) with Ford E303 computer compatible cam.
    Edelbrock RPM intake
    FITECH fuel injection
    Fuel injection system with return
New MSD coil and billet Summit dist
Lokar AOD kickdown and throttle plate
    RPC oval cobra air cleaner
    BBK headers
Ford ranger serpentine system for PS and Alternator
Spintech 7000 oval under car mufflers and exhaust
    3:27 8.8 rear
    AOD auto
Custom expanded foot boxes (both sides)
Dynamat Extreme and DEI heat shields
    Powerstop slotted rotors and pads
    Speedhut GPS gauges
    Optima battery and billet mount
    Front and rear bumperets
    Custom door panels with pockets
Custom modified drivers seat frame for an extra 1 1/2” of foot room
Uses 94 mustang power antilock brakes (components installed, system bled and working as std power brakes, need wiring)
Power steering (also have new FFR manual rack)
Roller 18” mustang bullit wheels and tires included, good enough for go kart included, wheels are dented and tires are old, so not for permanent use.

    What I ordered from FFR:
    MKIV Base Kit
    Powder coated frame
    No Body cutouts
Driver and passenger chrome roll bars
    J pipes (stainless)
Uncut dash panel and cut dash included (both)
Full wiring harness with all completion components
Big&Tall leather seats (drivers modified for leg room)
    Heater defroster
    Hood hinge kit
    FFR floor mats
    Leather FFR steering wheel
    Koni rear coilovers
    FFR aluminum radiator w/alum shroud
Have Factory, welded steel FFR, and forged FFR rear lower control arms.

See build thread below for pictures.

You are welcome to every single part in my garage for this car, it is running, close to go cart stage, needs trans auto shifter cable and kick down installed to drive. Most of the aluminum panels have not been installed to leave easy access for assembly.

What You need is a good old frog build day party! I would bet that there is a bunch of local builders that would love to come over to help finish the car for you. you would have to supply beer and pizza or BBQ and the parts for the car!

I had a doctors appointment today that made it clear, I will not be working on cars anymore. Therefore I need to sell my MKIV. Please PM me if you are interested.

I am so very sorry to hear about the news from your doctor!! That is a real gut punch!

I wish I were in a position to help, but I am not unfortunately. However, I just needed to share my empathy. I can only imagine the range of emotions you must feel after getting so far along with your build. I am very, very sorry!

I hope that maybe some folks in that area can provide some help to get her all finished for you, so you can enjoy your hard work! In the alternate, I hope you are able to get a quick sale.

Truly sorry to hear the news!

    Regards,

    Steve
