    Roadster Door Panels

Herb's vs. **********? Other than the obvious stylistic differences, is there a notable discriminator one way or the other?

    Thanks.

I have pocketed door panels. Started making them 20 years ago.

I recently purchased Herb's door inserts and am very pleased. They look good, fit well and are well made.

I bought both and only went with the vertical seam ********** version due how they matched the seats. Both Herb's and ********** versions are very nice products - as are others that are available, I'm sure.

Same here. Wanted the interior to tie together. More like a factory product than a kit.

Herbs have worked well for me. They are functional and look great. Easy to install and no issues. I keep car ownership/insurance, ear plugs, USB cord and the remote for the stereo (that I never use) stored in the pocket. Comes in handy seeing as I have no room for a glove box. I'd buy from Herb again.

I used Herb's. I had used a different vinyl for my dash and e-brake and shifter boots. I sent some of that to Herb and he used it so all material matched. Very happy with the outcome.

Gumball sold me his extra set which match my dash perfectly.
They are extremely nice as well.

I first bought the **********, because of the look. Then decided to get the Herb's because of the better functionality. I haven't mounted either yet because I can't decide (and the car isn't painted yet anyway). Maybe I'll do a ********** on one door and Herb's on the other. Naw, probably not.

I'll get a picture up later todsy of them both side by side.

Here's the ********** and the Herb's side by side. Neither one has been installed, but I'm tending towards the Herbs's. We'll see.

Newcomer here and still waiting on my kit, but can I assume that these are available because the kid doesn't come with any? Or does everyone prefer something different from the kit?

Correct. Door panels are not included in the kit.

Good match to the seats. Don't really use them to hold much. Herbs would be better if you want more storage.

********** here as well. They need a couple inches taken out to fit the 289 doors though. Pretty straightforward.

I have two sets of ********** panels. The first set near the inside corner the backer board and padding was showing. ********** was nice enough to send me another set free of charge but the second set had the same defect so I didnt use them either. I luckily won the auction for Herbs panels installed them, Herbs panels look great. If you want a set of the ********** I have send me a PM, all I ask for is payment for shipping. I was told that if the staples are removed I could re-work it to cover the backer board and padding.
