    Parking brake sticks on

I have the 94 cobra rear brakes, same as FFR supplys but I got the new from fortes. Ever since I installed at least one of them seems to stay on after the parking brake is released. Once you push the brake Bradley in moderately I hear a click and it releases.
Not really a big deal except today I’m pretty sure I managed to drive around for a while with it on. With engine braking I didn’t need to push hard enough to release it I guess.

Anyone else experienced this and got a fix?

Again I think it’s just one of them but can only check 100% by jacking rear end up.

    Thanks

I have the same issue. I think one of the cables must be rubing or getting a hard angle bend.

It’s not the cable, mine goes slack and can be pulled through, it’s something with the caliper mechanically. The second the hydraulics move the piston there is a loud click and the mechanical parking brake lever releases.

I put a helper spring on mine, found the mod on the boards here. Search for parking brake helper spring.

I had to lubricant the emergency brake shaft that actuates the brakes and then work the mechanism SEVERAL times before it started to work without sticking

Jacked up the rear end, couldn’t make it stick on any more. Seems to have fixed itself, go figure.
