Haha, looks like a 32 grill!

I just read the SEMA blog post, and saw their sneak peek of the "unique looking Factory Five ’33" in the background!!

    https://www.factoryfive.com/whats-ne...ew-day-1-of-7/

That sure looks like they productized what I've been playing with - 32 grill on 33. Except they (of course) look to have added working sides and hood to match. I've tilted mine of purpose to match body line but looking forward to seeing more of this!

I was thinking it might be something related to the Rats Glass Streetrod business that FFR bought but don't see something like that on the web site.

Hold on! Whoa cowboy! What's this about F5R buying Rats Glass?!?! I vaguely remember hearing something about Rats being for sale, but never would have thought in a million years F5R would snag them up! One of my all time favorite cars its an Alloway built Speedstar Roadster. This is going to get real interesting real soon... My mind is already churning... a Speedstar on a F5R chassis... in kit form! Oh my!

Edit: Sure enough... just visited the Rats Glass website and read it with my own two eyes!

Hmm interesting move. As much as we love our hot rods, it's my observation that it seems like the hot rod scene has kind of cooled off (location dependent I'm sure). Maybe FFR will spur on some new interest.

Seems the contrary here in Texas. And universally the traditional rod scene is white hot right now. The focus on Traditional means that "Street Rods" or "Billet Rods" are looked down upon as something inferior. I'm guessing this trend has impacted 'glass body makers for a while now, and specialty 'glass makers like Rats.

What I find surprising is that FFR has been very quiet about this making me think that they've been cooking up something and SEMA would be just the place to finally come out. It would seem that other than the statement on the Rats web site, there has been no communication about it. The only way I knew was I saw someone else mention it weeks ago in one of the other FFR model threads.

Congrats RR! You influenced the 32 grille. I never did like that 33 ford grille anyway... We have all been begging for a Vicky, Tudor, or panel delivery, but Rats glass isn't the style most of us were thinking. Really not seeing those thinner and lower bodies on the existing chassis. I guess I'll just have to get the truck and build a Hearse body on it...
So many other projects I wont get back to another FFR for 2019 anyway.
