    Help! - Maryland Registration

Car originally registered in Pennsylvania as a "2008 Specialty Construction Vehicle". Now living in Maryland, the Inspection station says the law indicates because it is registered as an 2008 in needs the emissions equipment that 2008 manufactured vehicles came with. The issue is Catalytic converters.

I know there are FF Roadsters registered in Maryland...So how'd you do it?

    All Help greatly appreciated

Something doesn't sound right as far as the original PA registration. Pennsylvania won't register a specialty constructed vehicle by year. It's just "specialty constructed". I remember this conversation specifically with the PA DMV. In short, my PA registration says

    Year/make: SP CONST

the year is no where listed on the registration.

Good luck, I hope you get things figured out and I can relate to the pain they are causing you. I had my go around with MD and they aren't consistent at all with anything. I guess it depends how they feel that day.

    RickP:

I love this forum. Rick you are so right. Looked at Registration and Specialty plate attached to the frame and there is NO Year. The inspection station is getting the date off of the insurance card because the first year I put the car on the road was 2008. So now I'm trying to see if my insurance carrier can change the date on their Identification Card.

    Thanks again RickP
