New Guy With a MKI Roadster
Hi all,
I hope everyone is doing well. My name is Steve and I have just purchased my first FFR MKI Roadster. While, it is new to me it is not a “new” car. The previous owner began this project and because of some family issues was not able to finish it. It is roughly 75% complete with all the required parts to complete the project. As it sits right now it has a Ford 460 FE with 535HP(supposedly). I am curious if anyone can shed some light and experience, because I am very new to this process. I want to upgrade to FFR headers so I can fit the 4 into 4 side exhaust on the car. Will that work with the 460 or am I out of luck?
Thank you all for your time and help.
Steve

FFR sells a Hooker header for the FE but I would talk to them to make sure that they will work on a MKI
I have a 390FE and it’s a blast to drive lots of torque
Good luck
Rick

We also need to know your state of residence.
Applicable advice can vary wildly state by state - if you actually want to get it legal.

Curious . . . is it an FE or a 460. You mention it is a 460 FE (quote: "As it sits right now it has a Ford 460 FE" ) but then later in the post ask; "Will that work with the 460"
A FORD 460 is completely different then a FE block taken out to 460 Cu. In. We need clarification to steer you toward the proper headers.
FE engines include: 352-390-406-410-427 & 428 - 460 blocks are "385 series" (NOT FE) and include 429 & 460.
Headers are available for both engines and will fit a MK I.
Welcome to the fun and the F5 family . . .
