MKIV Roadster: Coyote, CA-legal, Built by Frank @ I.E.427

I’m offering my MK4 Roadster for sale. This is a complete non-donor build that was purchased partially complete in July 2016 and was almost completely rebuilt by Frank at I.E.427 (with help from myself). It was completed in September 2017 and has since been driven just under 1,000 miles and is in practically new condition. Titled in California as a 2016 using SPCN (SB100) which means no smog checks are required for the life of the car. It was not originally built to sell and as a result has a huge number of enhancements over and above a typical MK4 kit; with many custom-made parts thanks to Frank.

Asking $55,000. Reach out via PM with questions or for contact info.

Instead of attaching hundreds of photos I've uploaded two albums with all the high-resolution photos:

    Overview
    MK4 Complete kit with Moser (3.55) 8.8” 3-link
Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote / Tremec TKO 600
    17” Halibrands (17″ x 9″ Front and 17″ x 10.5″ Rear) with NT05’s
Wilwood 6-piston brake kit / Koni shocks
Simpson 5-point harnesses / Double roll bars
Kirkey Vintage seats w/ adjustable mounts

Graduation thread with additional detail can be be found here:
    https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...-Frank-I-E-427

Engine: Brand new Coyote crate engine from Ford Racing. Custom tuned by JMS with an SCT handheld tuner. OEM-style coolant routing and Moroso expansion tank. Fan shroud, radiator support, and mounting kit from Breeze. FFR 4 into 4 headers with locking bolts. Has not been dyno tuned but I would estimate around 450hp.

Driveline: TKO600 transmission, balanced driveshaft, Moser 3.55 8.8” 3-link rear suspension

Interior: Kirkey Vintage seats w/ adjustable mounts and Simpson 5-point harnesses. Custom-made adjustable seat rails (forward and back). Enlarged drivers footbox with dead pedal and throttle pedal from Breeze. Replica AC-style pedals from Mike Forte. Custom-made 13” steering wheel from Moto-Lita in the UK (also includes standard 15” wheel from FFR).

Fuel: Replaced all FFR fuel lines with custom 3/8 stainless lines and 6AN fittings. Custom braided hose was used between fuel rail and fuel pump. Replaced OEM Fox-body Mustang hanger with high-capacity Pro-M Racing hanger, fed by a larger 255lph pump. The larger pump and 3/6 + 6AN lines will happily feed a supercharged Coyote. Replaced Fox-body Mustang filter with high flow Aeromotive filter.

Exterior: Bodywork and paint was done by the one and only Jeff Miller, using Viper Blue Pearl and GM Arctic White stripes. Note that the stripes were clear-coated over and aren’t removable. Quick Jacks were shortened slightly to match the original cars.

Power + Noise: Over 4000rpm the Coyote pulls like a freight train while howling like a banshee. It’s the only vehicle I’ve driven where I’d describe the acceleration as “violent”. But, at partial throttle below 3,000rpm it’s incredibly docile and tame. It’s very happy to cruise the mountain roads around SoCal without skipping a beat; elevation changes and all.

    Thanks!

Oh my! That's a nice build and a very classic looking ride.
I saw your build thread and photos.
It is clear this is the dream car you wanted, and yet, you have not even enjoyed a full summer of cruising.
Brother, after all this effort, what is making you sell your dream so soon?

I appreciate the kind words, most credit goes to Frank

I'm relocating to the UK for an unknown period of time. Given the effort involved in shipping and registering the vehicle in the UK I'd prefer it stay in California with another enthusiast.

    Ah ha... I understand.
I just came back to the USA after a long term assignment to our India offices.
Now my sons and I want to build an 818c.
Those photos reveal a high quality build.
I'm sure there is a Roadster enthusiast out there that will appreciate that car.
    Good luck in the UK.

Is it just me, or is this getting a little weird? It reminds me of the old saw "If you don't think God has a sense of humor, just try making plans." I'd love to have that engine in my car!
