    Yes I did. My very experienced builder pulled a thread out of the block of my very expensive Subaru closed deck 1/2" ARP stud block. He said he knew when the torque wrench started getting easier that we were screwed. He won't put 1/2 studs in them anymore. If that's what a buyer demands he sends them elsewhere now.

    I ran in to this same problem with a Coyote motor. I posted about it on the other forum; both the problem and the solution.

    He ripped the threads out and now refuses to use 1/2" studs? That's silly.
