RTV on bottom of floor to frame???

Is there any good reason to use RTV on the floor/frame? The rivets will hold the floor in place.
If the floor ever needs to be removed and I don't use RTV all I need to do is drill out the rivets.
    Did you guys use it?

I used silicone between the floor pieces and the frame. It will help to make the floor more secure and will prevent the possibility of vibration and noise. The panels are easily removed with the silicone applied. That shouldn't be a concern.

Thanks Dave, today I riveted the panels to the frame using RTV silicon sealant.

Any thoughts on prepping it with Lizard Skin prior to installing. Help keep the heat and noise down?? Was also thinking of doing the same with firewall.

Larry, I used DEI insulation on the bottom of the floors and the DEI gold stuff above the mufflers. All of my exhaust pipes are wrapped so I shouldn't have heat or noise problems. I also bought the insulation/sound kit from FFR.
